The Trend Marketing team created and activated adidas’ street-style and fashion initiatives to position adidas as a forward thinking and aspirational brand to a top end, opinion leading audience: creative collaborations, special events, limited-edition projects alongside monthly exclusive sneaker pack drops from the Consortium collection and Fashion Group.

Trend collections were dropped in limited-editions in collaboration with avant-garde sneaker collectors, sneaker store owners, fashion designers and sports icons. Most successful was the relaunch of the iconic tennis shoe, Stan Smith, adding up to more than 50 million pairs sold worldwide. The hype-drop as a business model was established - luxury fashion adopted the streetwear scene's preferred method of retail in 2017.
